Other injury prone exclusions Vince Carter, Yao It was diffecult to include Ai KG and Allen because they were francise players and had teams built around them, they all failed. Pierce sucked alone. He couldnt even pull off a winning season when the east was very weak and 37 win would have got you in. Ai and Allen did atleast made a run at it with bad organizations and little help. KG failed for years no matter how many pieces they gave him. Since Shaq left Kobe only missed the playoffs once. Then he went deep against a stacked Suns team 2 years in a row and almost pulled off an upset alone. He couldnt be expected to carry a team to a ring with Kwame. He had to wait to rebuild. You cant just lose Shaq, get no one in return and expect to win a ring... Now he has a team again and within the first half season of having Gasol they pulled up to #1 in the west. In 1940, Lehi proposed intervening in World War II on the side of Nazi Germany. It offered assistance in "evacuating"[vague] the Jews of Europe, in return for Germany's help in expelling Britain from Mandate Palestine. Late in 1940, Lehi representative Naftali Lubenchik was sent to Beirut where he met the German official Werner Otto von Hentig. Lubenchik told von Hentig that Lehi had not yet revealed its full power and that they were capable of organizing a whole range of anti-British operations. On the assumption that the destruction of Britain was the Germans' top objective, the organization offered cooperation in the following terms: From the NMO side: full cooperation in sabotage, espionage and intelligence and up to wide military operations in the Middle East and in eastern Europe anywhere where the Irgun had Jewish cells, active and trained and in some places with weapons. From the German side, the following declarations and actions were demanded: (1) Full recognition of an independent Jewish state in Palestine/Eretz Israel (2) That the ability to emigrate to Palestine be conceded to all Jews, with no restriction of numbers, who, in leaving their homes in Europe, by their own will or because of government injunctions. For this purpose there was expressed a need to cancel any transfer plans of Jews to distant countries like Madagascar. On January 11, 1941 a letter was sent from Vice Admiral Ralf von der Marwitz, the German Naval attaché in Ankara, depicting an offer to "actively take part in the war on Germany's side" in return for German support for "the establishment of the historic Jewish state on a national and totalitarian basis, bound by a treaty with the German Reich".[17][18] There are three possibilities as to how the offer reached the German Naval attaché in Ankara. One is that en route to Germany, von Hentig was delayed in Ankara and delivered his version of the offer orally to von der Marwitz and von der Marwitz wrote the letter using his words. Open Question: Population warfare. Preference for Female immigrants. Feasible? (political Science)?
Regarding immigrants from the Middle East. Would a female-only immigration possibility be feasible and safer? Such a policy on the part of EU governments, Australia or US governments would involve active green-card grants given only to female immigrants from Islamic countries, no males. Such a policy would also be like Ali-G's policy of allowing only "fit" women into the country. But it would keep the men out, who are more likely to be abusive and zealous in the practice of their religion. Such a policy, if enacted over a generation would seriously reduce the numbers of people in Islamic countries if we deem them an enemy. This is just a very random thought i had in response to youtube videos depicting Islam as a religion that allows violence towards women. If need be; this policy might be followed up by a draconian style deportation of male citizens with Islamic or Middle Eastern links. We might see this in future. If not a serious discussion. Can you imagine pro immigration Green-Card commercials targeted at battered Muslim women? Slogans such as "Come to America" "Expenses provided for you and children" "Seek asylum at the Embassy/Consulate" If CIA operations were made to appear as rescuing women from their own culture, one could claim humanitarian credibility, while obtaining the purpose of depriving radical countries of their women? Voting Question: Senior Pet has joint problems?
I have a 10 year old chihuahua who is in great health, she is not overweight and is very active. Recently, she has began to have problems with her back hips bothering her. She has had x-rays and the vet did not see anything abnormal and said for her to take it east and she should be fine. Is there any over the counter pet meds that anyone knows of to help with her joint pain? Our vet did say as she gets older she may develop arthritis. I took her back to the vet today and they took new x-rays, the vet said she was having arthritis in her right hip and gave her some pain meds called Metacam to take for a few days. Can she take another supplement with this or should I see if the Metacam works? Thanks! (more...)

Voting Question: help me with my internship essay?
please let me know of any mistakes you see, or correct me by rewriting the whole essay or part of it.. here is the essay.... Scientific research fascinates me. Experiments raise many questions and always provide new challenges. Research also supplies knowledge of the most intimate interactions of the natural processes, giving a glimpse of processes that are not easy to understand. With the referral of my academic advisor, I managed to look into the Cold Spring Laboratory?s departmental websites and read some research publications. I was able to get quite a bit of knowledge on cancer genomics, neurodevelopmental disorders and formation of neuronal networks in decision making and memory. My readings inspired me to raise some questions on the concepts and developed my interest to be part of the scientific research team and further explore these concepts. I discovered my passion for research when I joined the University of Eastern Delaware(UED) Physician Assistant Department.As a student at UED and as a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, I have gained a strong background in biological, health, physiological, and behavioral sciences. I have concentrated on the physiology of the nervous system and behavioral mechanisms of the brain. My theory-based studies of the anatomy and physiology of the human brain have left me with a great interest in further exploring and understanding the physiological processes of the brain. It is this great interest that motivated me to apply to the Horn Point Undergraduate Research Program. My short term goal is to successfully complete the Physician Assistant program and earn my bachelors degree. Currently, I am a junior with a GPA of 3.80. At the end of my sophomore year, I have carried out research at Eastern York Laboratory in Cambridge, MA with Scott Sims PhD. My research was focused on the application of membrane inlet mass spectrometry to investigate metabolic processes. Moreover, I am an active participant in various voluntary associations and clubs at UED. These include the American Fisher?s Society East Division, Student Health Awareness Association, American Chemical Society, and the International Students association. These organizations give me an opportunity to network with others in my field and by volunteering with the organizations I am able to put into practice what I have learned in the classroom. My long-term career goals are be a certified Physician Assistant and continue my education to earn an M.D-Ph.D., specializing in Neuroscience. As a clinical neuroscientist I will use my research findings to develop diagnostic methods and ways to prevent and treat neurological disorders that affect the brain. I think the knowledge and the hands on experience I will get from the Horn Point Laboratory Undergraduate Research Program will give me a sense of direction in developing and conducting scientific research and apply the knowledge I get from my research. In addition, I believe interacting with other professionals and students who share my passion and enthusiasm for research will help me explore different opportunities for graduate school and help me shape my long-term goal. Resolved Question: What are some good colleges for me?
I'm a junior in high school and I'm in the IB program (virtually equivalent to AP). My unweighted GPA is about a 3.5 (it may have gone up since I last checked). I live in the Northeast (upstate New York) and hope to stay on the east coast. I play two sports and am very active in my school's theatre program and secretary of my school's key club. I am approximately 30th in a class of 620. Any school suggestions? (more...)
