Open Question: this is a copy of an email that my mum sent to the oldham evening chronicle did i do the right thing ?
can you help me my son had been to Sainsbury's for me he was on his way back to my house it was around 8.40 pm he was near my house when he found a cat that had been hit by a car so he brought it to my house we phoned the R.S.P.C.A but it was obvious that they were not at all interested. the r s p c a told us to either to put the cat down the chute or take it and bury it or go to the police station. we went to oldham police station and they where not interested either so we ended up taking the poor creature back to where he was found where we had to leave wrapped in a t towel and a pillow slip. we then phoned o/m first choice homes who didn't care either so there was no option but to leave the body outside a door on gower street. it makes you wonder when will people be thought in the same way as this poor little animal was. surely some-one gives a damn - apparently NOT!!!!!!! it is a bit odd to put my mums email on here but i feel to bad to type it all out myself i would like to add the cat was still alive when i found him and was well i was on the phone to the R.S.P.C.A also i can not bury him because the ground is to cold to dig in i did try (more...)

Open Question: I'm 16, and I love a 25 year old, is it wrong to wait for him?
I'm sixteen years old. And don't even tell me that teenagers can't know what love is, because I know that they can and DO all over the world every second all the time. I have been crazy about this guy I have known for a long time who is 25. We're both musicians, and we hang out all the time at his house. He still lives with his parents so our families have dinner together often. We have had a lot of "sweet moments" at dinner and he's always a perfect gentleman to me. We met in church and he is just the single greatest man I have ever met in my life. He's been single ever since I've known him, which is about 2 years. I have loved him for seven months now, and I keep praying about it and God keeps telling me to just wait. We talk very little, but he records my songs for me at the college he goes to. We have a decent friendship, although I wish we were better friends so that I might have a chance at winning him over. I have never told him how I feel. Ever. He almost figured it out once, but it was easily avoided and forgotten about. I've broken up with every boyfriend I've ever had because every time I'd see him he seems to get a sad look on his face and I just instantly feel guilty because all I really want is him, not whoever else I'm with. I'm not sure if he could possibly have feelings for me, too. If he does, he keeps it very discreet. (And so do I, of course.) I brought my male cousin to church once and he kept teasing me and asking me, "So, who's your new redneck boyfriend?" when I told him he was my cousin, his face looked almost relieved, and he said "Good, I thought he was a little big (as in overweight, lol.) for you." and after we left, my parents said, "Hmm, somebody was jealous!" He makes me smile, he's a breath of fresh air to me, honestly and he always hugs me and calls me superstar and treats me with the utmost respect at all times. Even if I never get to be with him for the rest of my life, as long as he is happy, that would be enough for me. Although I do want to try while the option is open! For the first time, looks don't even come into play, I just love him! It's so new and so different to me, but it can be very stressful wondering what I should do sometimes. So what I'm asking is, should I wait on him despite the hurt it may cause me? Is it really that creepy that I have these feelings for someone whose age is so different than mine? Could it even be possible that he might even have feelings for me, too? How can I build a lasting friendship with him without it being weird? I want to wait until I'm 18 which is in about a year and 2 months and then maybe be a little more obvious or even confront him about it. My parents really love this guy too, and they found out at one point how I felt and said that it was normal and that maybe someday it could happen. Could it really? (more...)

Open Question: What are some good herb plants for an outside window box?
I'm looking to grow some herbs in an outside window box. I'm thinking quick growing, varying degrees of direct sun-light (depending on the side of the house) and, in some situations, cascading (e.g. flowing over the edge of the box and down the side of the house). I live in Virginia. What would be some good options? Thanks. D/ (more...)

Open Question: What is housing like around the Fort Knox, KY area?
We will be moving to Fort Knox at the end of February. They say the wait list for on post housing is between 6 and 8 months. We have 3 children and would like a nice area for schools as our oldest is 6. What are some good areas to search in? What does rent run in the area? Are there a good number of places for rent or should we expect to have to look for quite a while? I was really hoping to get on post, but I guess that won't be an option for now. Any help is greatly appreciated. (more...)

Open Question: How hard is it to recover from a 90 past due on mortgage?
My wife and I are expecting a child coming in May and we will be looking at added expenses, in the last year I was laid off at work and had to accept a position that hasn't allowed us to afford the lifestyle we are stuck in currently. We have had our house for 2.5 years and have never had a delinquency nor on any other credit items. The option was brought up to me that the loan we have through our first time home buyers agency "Kentucky Housing" has a forbearance program that if you are 90 days past due that they have the ability to adjust the mortgage for up to 3 years that can lower our interest rate from 6.5 to 3% for that term to give us a chance to bounce back, I would hope in this time period we would be able to rework our finances. I am currently selling the cars we have payments on and doing anything else to lower our debts. Our current credit scores are 740-750, so I am really concerned about being 90 days delinqent. This would save us aprox 300-350 for 3 years and would allow us to keep the equity in the house vs. refinancing which since we have only had the house for a short period would put us back to where we started at on the original value and would only save us aprox 130 a month granted long term would be more benificial but we would probably plan to sell this house with in 3-4 years. Open Question: I can't STAND my science fair project partner ANYMORE!!what do I do?
This is kinda long, sorry. okay so in like october I choose my best friend who is REALLY smart and nice at first for 4 years to be my science fair partner. First we were gonna do our project on this REALLY fun one and then she changed her mind to a boring one without my approval. she said it would give us a "better mark". Then she change it again, just because there was a book on it with lots of info about GRASSHOPPERS now would you really like to be with a grasshopper during ur whole science project, i wouldn't. so now wre doing it on grass hoppers, but then that night we though of the idea, well she thought of the idea i told myself that i'm not gonna be okay with this project for 4 months. so i called her and said im not her project partner anymore. she got really sad, but she got over it. so my final decision came to this really fun one about cookie sheets. well i though it was really fun. the next day my teacher changed my bffs project question because it didnt make much sense. She didnt like the changed version, and wanted another topic. But it was too late to do that and the only option is to be someone elses partner, ME. I got happy that she got to be my partner and i thought it was the greatest thing that happened with us, until i realized it was the worst. after was the holidays. I worked on every single step on my science fair project, adn asked her 5 TIMES to come to my house to work on it, but it was always a "no, maybe next week!" and i thought she was smart. so finally she came and we did all out stuff. I made the design for our board and she okayed it. The next day was school. And she wrote out all the information, saying that my "wasnt good enoguh and we need to start all over" Countless hours of work, not enjoying my holiday was a waste. she doesn't even CARE about what i think. If i don't like something in the project which i want her to change, she will said No were not doing that were doing THAT thing which i thought of. everything was done all by her except the bristol board..not. I bought the project science fair board with my 16 dollars. Untill she came up and wrekced the whole thing using boring colours and boring things. Before, we did this super cool design until she tore it off thinking it "wasnt scientific". I said "no, i payed for the materials and board ($30) and now ur saying its not good?!" she said who cares it looks so ugly, btw ur house was soo boring!okay nvm nvm" i felt so sad that my bfff was doing this to me. So were basically done the project and her bossyness. I honestlly dont care what mark we get, aslong as we did it together, but she cared more about getting an A then my feelings. So gues what happened next? SHE RIPED EVERYTHING OF WHAT SHE DID ON MY BOARD!! She said it wasnt colourful(wth?!) and we have to start, Over. my 16 dollars went to waste...my dad liked the board i designed he even took a picture of it. Now my friend is being so bossy and creul! Now our board is "yellow, green, purple, and blue" those are so ugly colours together! I can't take it anymore!what do I do!! please don't say "oh i don't understand ur question" coz simple don't answer it! sorry this was long, thanx<3 so basically my question is that I can't stand the bossyness of my friend caring more about the project then my feelings. what do I tell her (more...)
