Robin Shepard includes descriptions and his personal ratings of some 600 local beers, plus a taster's chart you can use to record your own preferences.
For each brewpub and brewery site you'll find:
€ a description and brief history, plus any "Don't miss" features
€ names, comments, and ratings for all their specialty beers
€ notes on the pub food, with recommendations
€ suggestions of other sites to see and activities in the local area
€ information about bottling and distribution
€ availability of tours, tastings, gift shops, mug clubs, and "growlers"
€ address and contact data, including Web sites and GPS coordinates!
Shepard also introduces novices to the brewing process and a wide variety of beer styles. And, you'll find a list of helpful books and Web sites, as well as information on Wisconsin beer tastings and festivals. As we say in Wisconsin, "So, have a couple a two, three beers, hey?"

A Guide to the Historic Shops & Restaurants of New Orleans

The lush world of old New Orleans awaits behind the doors of select restaurants and shops that have delighted patrons for decades. Crossing these thresholds, the discriminating diner and shopper can step into scores of historic establishments, including an antebellum hotel in the Garden district, a dimly-lit absinthe house, a turn-of-the-century perfumerie, romantic antiques shops, and a wisteria-draped courtyard restaurant whose Cajun cuisine includes muffalettas, po'boys, Gulf shrimp remoulade, jambalaya, crawfish, oysters, beignets, and the world's first cocktail, the Sazerac. More than one-hundred color photographs and reproductions are included.

Resolved Question: What ever happened to Hip-Hop?
I did a paper when I was in high school on the "history of hip-hop". I was such a huge fan of hip-hop music and admired groups/artists such as Brand Nubian, Wu-Tang Clan, Das EFX, Biggie, Jay-Z, etc...To this day, I still am, although time has ceased to stand still and most of these cats are well into their 40's now. As I noticed, hip-hop music has evolved into a new trend, style, and way of life that has shifted the culture of it, since it first began.
In the 80's, most of the songs written and produced were mainly dance/club songs in a way. Music that pretty much attracted the youth and acted as an outlet for them. Thus break dancing, graffiti, popping, DJing', were vastly becoming experimental to which a lot of today's beats are sampled from. Songs were more upbeat, lively, not as explicit.
90's came in and it began to evolve into more of the reality and self-expression of what it was like living day by day. Weather he/she lived in the West Coast, East Coast, the South, lived in the rough city hoods, gangs, drugs, sex, money, etc..But at the same time, you feel the wellness of where the artist was coming from. You feel his/her struggle int he music and in the lyrics that were crafted to perfection.
Now, I listen to a lot of these new artists and it clearly shows that a lot of the elements that made hip-hop so great, is not shown anymore. It caters more to a fantasy-like dream about living the life, that they supposedly lived. A lot of these artists now, are just there for the money rather than talent itself. There's no consistency. Most of these are relied on the glamor of living the high life, where trend setting is more important than the message being told.
I just feel as if these artists are just Pall Bearers of Hip-Hop's casket..taking it to the grave. I mean, if this continues on, I think we should just hang it up and end the chapter. We have more and more artist make songs everyday and produce albums, but I feel as if the harmony between the elements of nature has been corrupted by undefined artists. Trust me, I have no problem with playing cassette tapes in my car.

Resolved Question: A dog walking company that doesn't walk for employees?
I recently started working for a dog walking company about 2 -3 months ago. They get 50% and i get 50% for every walk that I do. They set up the client agreements/contracts, facilitate problems with clients, provide me with a daily schedule, and insurance, they also give me paychecks and such, its much like a regular job except its based off commission. Anyhow, they put up with two EXTREME clients who want everything for nothing, when I show up for appointments they already have their dogs outside and cancel on the spot rather than calling ahead, these crazy clients are only already paying for the cost of one dog to be walked when they are having two walked, so they are getting a great deal, my boss continously accommodates their crazy requests including that whenever they randomly start to get neurotic, that their dogs be walked seperately and not with any other dogs, which severely decreases my ability to make money. However I have let this slide as well as the fact that at times my paychecks aren't available on paydays and the fact that they promised me that they would have enough work for me to be able to make 200-300 dollars a week so that i could quit my other job, since i have quit my second job there have been times when I have only made $60 per week which is ridiculous, and luckily I have some financial aid money to help me survive. Anyhow, I am not working for them this week as I had requested and they said that it was no problem that there wasn't a lot of work anyway, I asked not to work because I have final exams this week. I also asked them if they could provide service for my 6 month old puppy, that I would need him taken from my home by one of the employees to their own home or whereever they would like to watch him for 5 hours for the next two days so that I could get some studying done as he requires a lot of supervision at this time. My boss told me that it would be difficult as I live outside the city...which I don't, I live in the city but I do not live downtown, and I live in a western part of the city and they mostly cater to far east and extend even further OUTSIDE the city to the east. But they said that they would ask one of their employees who lives close by. I asked the MANAGER that they have for our company if my boss (the owner) had even asked her about it and she said no and that she would be happy and able to do it! So what the hell? My boss didn't even ask anyone! I receive no discounts or benefits and can't even get service for my own dog, yet she bends over backwards for clients that are a waste of time? Also she said that I wouldn't be able to bring my dog with me when I'm walking due to insurance and liability issues and that she could loose her business license and such. HOWEVER if my dog was added as a client as I asked him to be for service, there would be no problem with that anymore? I am really pissed off about the whole situation to be honest and don't know what to say in a respectable manner so as not to offend her, but to get my point across, I also dont want to get the manager who is helping me out in trouble.
Please let me know what your thoughts are and what you think I should say

Resolved Question: Is the AP Poll just a 'media darling' tool?
The AP Poll is so east and west coast biased, it's pathetic! They cater only to major population centers and ignore the rest of the country. Their first priority is to promote USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Michigan. Barring that it is to promote the SEC and Tim Tebow. Look at their ratings vs. the Coaches Poll. They continue to overrate SEC teams, and completely obliterated Florida's home loss from their minds long ago.
Example:
They have rated Florida over Texas for weeks even though Texas played a much tougher schedule and only lost on the road to top rated Texas Tech while Florida lost at home to unrated Ol' Miss.
Also don't forget that the AP gave USC that fake National Championship in 2004 over LSU who won it on the field.
The AP was once the measuring stick for accuracy. Now they are as phoney and biased as the New York Times!
The Big-12 passed the SEC last year with 4 out of the top 10 in the final poll. This year, the Big-12 is WAY ahead of the overrated SEC. I have a hard time rating the SEC as better than the 4th best conference this year. Besides Florida, they have the worst offenses in the country, and their defenses can't even hold those weak offenses down! The freaking weak ACC OWNS the SEC this year!
Strength of schedule:
Oklahoma #1
Texas #5
Florida #17 (inflated)
Alabama #88
The best team that Florida beat this year was way overrated Georgia!
