Resolved Question: How to get work during these financially hard times?
I left my job in May due to several factors and thought that I'd take it easy for a couple of months. However I am now having no luck being able to find a 'serious' job. I apply on average to 50+ a month and have even started hitting the retilers. They all say the same thing, either they have enough staff or to come back in November for seasonal vacancies. I have 2 Children and I have just had my JSA benefit reduced to £25 a week, because my husband got a job in a bar working 10 hours a week. He makes £30 week. We are getting further behind with our bills (Last week I had to pay nearly £200 in bank charges for unpaid DD's as no money in bank!) I don't know how to cut back any more to make the money go further. We rent from the council, don't have a car, have no HP. It's looking like I'm going to have to get broardband and phone cut off, though I do all my banking, bill paying and job searching online as it's 'free'. Does anybody have any advice to get me (and others in similar situations) through it? to no 33, I'd love to! but neither hubby or I have suffiecient 'skills' or money to emigrate. Hi all, I recently applied for a 'Youth Information Officer' Vacancy with our local council. I know a little of the services that would be offered. I would be responsible for providing information and support to 11 - 25 year olds. Helping them contact other agencies, etc, etc. I have the interview. It will be 45 minutes long and I will be required to take a 10 minute written exercise on the following topic "Devise a scheme of work for delivery of informal advice sessions to young people" Now I am stumped. I have no idea what this question means tbh. I am wondering if I could answer this question with saying, "I would ask the user group what information/advice they would like, and then arranging for a guest speaker relevent to the information needed to come into the centre and deliver an informal talk." Sexual health nurse to discuss sexual health for example. What do you think? Any other takes on the question? Thanks all. (more...)

The Office of the Papacy is the office that Christ instituted in St. Peter (see Mt. 16:18-20; John 21:15-17). The Office of St. Peter (the Papacy) is occupied by every true and lawful Bishop of Rome, who becomes a successor to St. Peter in the primacy over the universal (Catholic) Church of Jesus Christ. This means and guarantees that every time there is a true and valid occupant of the Office he is endowed by Christ with infallibility (in his authoritative and binding teaching capacity, not in everything he says or teaches); he is endowed with supreme jurisdiction over the universal Church; and he is the visible head of the Church. That remains true for every true and lawful occupant of the Papal Office. Those teachings proclaimed by the popes in history with their binding authority (such as the Council of Trent or the Council of Florence or a solemn Papal Bull on faith, etc.) constitute the deposit of faith ? the unchangeable teachings to which Catholics must submit, and on which they base what they believe as the faithful transmission of the teaching of Scripture and Tradition. The Papacy doesn?t mean that the Church will have a true pope at all times, as Church history and more than 200 papal vacancies prove, nor does it mean that antipopes reigning from Rome are an impossibility (such as Antipope Anacletus II, who reigned in Rome from 1130-1138) ? as is the case today. Resolved Question: I (24, M) am running for City Council, how do I win it?
Hey everyone, I am a realtor and I am running for the city councillor in the by-election coming up in a city that's suburban to Vancouver (20 min drive). One of the incumbent councillor decides to move to the country and the vacancy will be filled with the up-coming by-election. There is no favourite or prominent candidate locally running for this seat. http://www.coquitlam.ca/City+Hall/City+Government/Election/default.htm But I dont have much money and I dont know how to get donations. All the candidates will likely be indepedent (maybe Green but they never ran on the municipal level in my area). So here is my question, what would you do in my sintuation to win the this chaotic election?
