Resolved Question: Who gets rid of road kill in suburbia?
I saw this incredibly mangled dead animal in the street near my house. It was right near a bus stop and could have been a family pet or could have been a fox or a possum, hard to tell as most of the insides were on the road. It was a really awful sight, made me really sad and I felt quite queasy. I wondered though, who gets rid of this type of thing? The average person wouldn't want to go anywhere near it, they would throw up. It would also be awful if it was a family cat and the owners saw it. Is it a council responsibility or are there businesses that specialise in removing road kill?

Voting Question: complete lie - cornish are racist nasty people that will make yours and your childrens lives hell?
moving to cornwall is the worst decision anyone could ever make - i speak from experience. my children experienced the most racism, after they were refused to be taken to school by school bus! the farms are beyond disgusting, the council are crooks the police are unhelpful too. One example I can give you is that when at a funeral, the neighbours robbed our house! you are classed as from "up country" where apparently all the crime is from and there is apparently no country side up country either. The standard of education in cornwall is well below poor,in both primary and secondary schools. Bude has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in europe and you will be conned by every garage you take your car to for repairs or even a simple mot. do not buy anything from a cornish person, they WILL rip you off. The weather is appalling, it is not freezing, but anywhere on the north coast and you will experience high winds, alot of rain and hail. After our house was burgled, we decided not to go back. It was the final straw and the best decision we made. Moving to cornwall was the biggest mistake we made and cost us a lot of money. Our house sold for 150,000 which is not expensive as the cornish would like to claim. They are a bunch of moaning whiners and they are welcome to cornwall. cut a huge river, make them an island all to them selves, cut them off from the rest of the world, its what they want, see how long they last!

Resolved Question: Is this what it's meant when referring to it in transit system?
Ever so often I see a particular county (in any state in the US) which when you look it up to get bus transit information, these words are in parenthesis: Council on Aging. I believe these are towns or counties rather which don't have normal, regular bus service, but rather small bus types?
Am I right?

Resolved Question: My housing scenario sucks and I am in need of help...?
I live in a council house in the countryside, with my mum, 4 brothers, sister and cuzn. It is only a 3-bedroomed so as you can imagine, it often gets a little claustrophobic, cluttered and how should i put it? Crowded!! Anywhoo My mum looks after all of us single handedly, we have no car and we rely on buses to get us where we need to go... being that our house is located in what seems like the middle of nowhere - miles away from town, our friends, our skls, my mums work place, and yesss civilisation. I am in need of help, my mum has tried everything to get us to move back to where we all felt at home and happy, where we were able to order chinese, or dominoes or go out and buy an ice cream from the ice cream man in the summer, however, nobody seems to be helping us, our local council has this points system where the more points you get the further you move up on the waiting list, we've been on the list for around 4 years and I can see in my mums eyes that she is depressed and I have to find away to help her, to help my family out of this isolated hell-hole. The place we live has no privacy, loads of old ppl, and no youth, its like the ppl that come here are just waiting to die but to keep them occupied whilst they are alive, they enjoy activities such as keeping up-with-the-jones' and gossip and nosing around their neighbours business. I'm 16 and I know there has to be someway around this problem. If anyone has any ideas on what I can do to help, I would be very grateful and it would really make my xmas =)

Voting Question: the job centre lied to me, where do i go from here?
I have been working under 16 hours for about a year, in which time i have had nothing but problems from the job centre, they never bothered me while i was claiming full benefits but as soon as i started working they have caused as many problems as possible for me. in the entire time i have been working i have not received the correct amount of benefits as they were taking more off me than i was earning and your supposed to be able to keep the first £20 making you £20 per week better off. never happened for me but i continued as i enjoy the work.
i finally got sick of all the hassle and so applied for tax credits on the 28th of october with a view to moving into full time work when they came through. well they came through on december first at which point i informed my employer i was ready for the extra hours i had been promised and went to the job centre and signed off with the promise that i had four weeks rent and tax paid and a back to work bonus to tide me over till the first full pay check. as i am a single mother with two children on a low income i was told that i would also be eligable for a little tax rebate so i went to the office today to inquire what a shock i got when they informed me that i owe them nearly £500. apparently when the tax credit was awarded it meant my claim for rebate was terminated as i was no longer on income support but i was never informed of this so now i owe them 5 weeks of full rent and council tax, i am not eligable for the 4 weeks free run off nor am i entitled to the back to work bonus i was promised as according to them i didnt come off income support for work but to go on the tax credit. so now here i am starting full time employment not with the helping hand i was promised but with a debt i cant possibly affort to pay. oh and if i drop my hours back down (messing my emlpoyer around again) i cant reclaim for six months. my advice for any single parents trying to get out there in the world of work, stick to under 16 hours. oh and to top it off by the time i have paid full rent and tax, school meals and the kids bus fares as i wont be availabe to drop n collect them from school. i will be a grand total of £13 per week WORSE OFF than when on full benefit.

Resolved Question: When making a big decision what do you have to consider?
Okay so this is how it goes.
I screw everything up..Well most things, Especially when it comes to making the right decision.
I have no self esteem blah blah blah, at all.
Uhm...How to put this..
I'm at secondary school (Yeah,I'm English..) and the 1st one I went to..I screwed up, I got bullied which I guess was one of the main causes of me leaving..and skiving..and refusing and just worrying my family so much even if I didn't mean it.
I then went on to home studying with no help at all apart from my neighbour (Which I didn't see the point in doing because I was learning next to nothing) so I kind of gave up on that seeing as my mum didn't have enough money to hire a tutor or whatever (Yeah, She's on benefits). I have no brothers or sisters or dad or whatever so I couldn't talk to anyone seeing as I can't open up too well. I've now been the new kid at a new secondary school and I'm not getting on too well...I find it really hard to adjust to things and..stuff. Let's just say school doesn't suit me at all, I have to wake up at 5:30am every morning and I get home about 5pm, A little..siren goes off in my head at times and I just to crazy wacky things without even thinking about it and I can't help it, I've dyed my hair pink..green..and all the jazz. Basically..URGH, I just can't do it..What the heck do I do?! Stay at school and get in more trouble (Believe me, I don't mean to) or get the council to get me a tutor and full on home study, There's the library which I'm willing to go to, A place in my town where kids go with TA's or something looking over our shoulder checking our work at times, and such, And I'm sure I can go to clubs (No not those 18+ ones I mean like.activities) to socialise. Basically..all this babbling is me kind of asking what do me and my mum have to consider before dropping out of school again, Because it's just not working. I do like to work hard and stuff because learning new things gives me things to look forward to, But I totally think waking up at 5:30am and coming back home so late (And that's when the buses are on time..) is just too much, I just..can't handle it, And the school is just strict about the whole being late and such (Which is good, don't get me wrong) it's just.hard, y'know?
Anyway,
I hope there are some people who have common sense who will write helpful answers.
:)
Thanks in advance.

Resolved Question: United Kingdom, Manchester, Fallow field --- how is this area?
My friend is going to study in this area, he asked my advice, but i cannot tell him, so anyone here who knows about Fallow field of Manchester, please help.
(1) A Manchester ex resident said this place is deprived. Has high crime, and have to be very careful at night when go out, what do you think?
(2) it is council estates , what is the meaning?
(3) the school location is Wilbraham Road, Fallow field, M14 6JX, is it a bad area? (i mean high crime, poor,. unfriendly........as the above manchester person said)
(4) To give you the details of the school location, it is about 20 minutes time walk from there to the city centre.
(5) if my friend wants to make local friends,( but it is a deprived and not safe area, people are not quite friendly as the above man said, )., is it possible?
(6) the northern accent is a great difference to southerners. it is quite hard to understand. eg : "bus", they pronunce: boss, "but" , they pronunce "boot", the speaking speed is faster than southerners, and the every inbetween words of a sentence is not clear. Do you think a person who only speak southern english is hard to survive or make friends with northerners because of the accent?
the full address is
26 Wilbraham Road., Fallow Field
M14 6JX
Is it not in Fallow Field?
If not in fallow field, which area it belongs to?
And is it good or the comment of this place is the same as all answerers here said?
