Restoration Ruin
Keith's second album (1968), this one is all solo; he plays all the instruments and even sings. This one is a little on the folky side; this would be the only album in this vein that he would make. Life Between the Exit Signs preceded this title; Somewhere Before and Keith Jarrett with Gary Burton would follow it. This LP is Keith's second and last recorded on Vortex.

The Ruin and Restoration of Israel: A Study of Hosea, Amos, and Micah

Hosea, Amos, and Micah are listed among the Minor Prophets. But make no mistake. Their messages were of major importance to the people of the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah. And they are just as important to us today. During the 8th century B.C., these prophets warned people that thir evil deeds and rejection of God would surely bring His judgment. The Ruin and Restoration of Israel unmistakably shows that God not only exists, but that He does what he promises to do and that there is no escaping from Him. Using a normal, literal-grammatical hermeneutic, this outstanding commentary also paints a moving picture of God's deep love for the Jewish people. And just as He promised to judge them, which He did, He also promises to bless them in the future, which he surely will.

Resolved Question: There is a foreclosed house on my street. How can I find out more about this house and how much it is?
I live in a nice neighborhood in Austin, TX. A couple of years ago our neighbors 3 houses down the street moved and a large family moved in. I never saw that the house was "for sale" (no signs in the yard, etc) so I wondered at the time what happened. (If anyone knows how the property changed hands in this manner, I'd like to know). The house is a beautiful house, but the new neighbors turned out to be very undesirable and in a short time the exterior was looking shabby (unmowed lawn, no yard care at all, dying plants, vehicles parked everywhere, tires laying around, a broken window or two). I assume the house was foreclosed on a few months ago as the "owners" are now gone and have left behind a legacy of filth and disrepair. Out of curiosity, I peered in a few windows around the house and my bold husband tried the garage a couple days ago and it was open, so we took a quick walk through the place. I was utterly shocked at the level of ruin this place is in. The carpets are destroyed throughout the property, Appliances pulled away from the wall and rusted out, art niches with the sides smashed in, many broken windows, the ceiling above a 2 story stair has water damage and is peeling/open. The place is a nightmare, YET the structure and design of the house is still intact and holds much promise with restoration. It has a large yard with a few trees (still living, unbelievably)...it is full of all kinds of abandoned crap and furniture at the moment. We really like the house but its certainly in no shape to sell. I am wondering what will happen with this house? I guess it must have been up for sale at a trustee auction (sheriff sale) but I don't know. There are no signs in the window as far as a HUD sale or anything like that. There is a lockbox on the door and thats it. How do we find out more about this property? I would imagine it would sell rather cheaply in the condition it is in. Is it possible for it to sit vacant for a long period of time? It has already been vacant this fall. What happens to homes in this state of disrepair? Do the banks attempt to clean/fix them before sale, or sell as is? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Resolved Question: Apartment Fire...Please Help with Advice!!?
Okay, I live in an apartment complex in a small college town in Missisippi. About a month ago my friend started a small kitchen fire that ruined my oven and microwave and caused significant smoke damage. I have no renters insurance but none of my property was damaged. The apartment complex is trying to charge us close to nine thousand dollars. six thousand of that being "fire restoration". I know that renters insurance covers property but aren't all landlords required to have insurance that covers the structure? They claim that they don't have insurance for the building and that we have to pay. Is this true? any help would be greatly appreciated and specific laws, regulations, etc would be as well. Thanks.

Resolved Question: Does this situation sound familiar but with a different leader?
When the stock market collapsed on Wall Street on Tuesday, October 29, 1929, it sent financial markets worldwide into a tailspin with disastrous effects.
The German economy was especially vulnerable since it was built out of foreign capital, mostly loans from America and was very dependent on foreign trade. When those loans suddenly came due and when the world market for German exports dried up, the well oiled German industrial machine quickly ground to a halt.
As production levels fell, German workers were laid off. Along with this, banks failed throughout Germany. Savings accounts, the result of years of hard work, were instantly wiped out. Inflation soon followed making it hard for families to purchase expensive necessities with devalued money.
Overnight, the middle class standard of living so many German families enjoyed was ruined by events outside of Germany, beyond their control. The Great Depression began and they were cast into poverty and deep misery and began looking for a solution, any solution.
Adolf Hitler knew his opportunity had arrived.
For Hitler, the master speech maker, the long awaited opportunity to let loose his talents on the German people had arrived. He would find in this downtrodden people, an audience very willing to listen. In his speeches, Hitler offered the Germans what they needed most, encouragement. He gave them heaps of vague promises while avoiding the details. He used simple catchphrases, repeated over and over.
His campaign appearances were carefully staged events. Audiences were always kept waiting, deliberately letting the tension increase, only to be broken by solemn processions of Brownshirts with golden banners, blaring military music, and finally the appearance of Hitler amid shouts of "Heil!" The effect in a closed in hall with theatrical style lighting and decorations of swastikas was overwhelming and very catching.
Hitler began each speech in low, hesitating tones, gradually raising the pitch and volume of his voice then exploding in a climax of frenzied indignation. He combined this with carefully rehearsed hand gestures for maximum effect. He skillfully played on the emotions of the audience bringing the level of excitement higher and higher until the people wound up a wide-eyed, screaming, frenzied mass that surrendered to his will and looked upon him with pseudo-religious adoration.
Hitler offered something to everyone; work to the unemployed, prosperity to failed business people, profits to industry, expansion to the Army, social harmony and an end of class distinctions to idealistic young students, and restoration of German glory to those in despair. He promised to bring order amid chaos, a feeling of unity to all and the chance to belong. He would make Germany strong again.
Eyota Xin maybe you need to go look at the last years worth of news.

Resolved Question: Is there any conflict between acceptance of the Theory of Evolution and belief in God?
The theory of evolution is simply a legitimate scientific theory explaining how life on earth has diversified. It does not comment on whether or not God exists.
There are 3 theories regarding the interpretation of Genesis 1.
Theory 1: Young Earth Creationism. It affirms that God created the universe in six literal days about 6,000 years ago. Any mutation happened in the last 6 millenniums.
Theory 2: Old Earth Creationism. It affirms that the universe was created about 4.5 billion years ago and then evolution began.
Theory 3: The Gap theory and the Ruin and Restoration theory. Refer to the theory that the earth has been created and then destroyed one or more times before Genesis 1.
What?s your opinion? Which theory sounds more believable?

Resolved Question: Is this true? I have never heard of this POV. Is Mark Twain writing fiction.?
There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent [valley of Jezreel] -- not for 30 miles in either direction. . . . One may ride 10 miles hereabouts and not see 10 human beings.
For the sort of solitude to make one dreary, come to Galilee... Nazareth is forlorn... Jericho lies a moldering ruin... Bethlehem and Bethany, in their poverty and humiliation... untenanted by any living creature... A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds... a silent, mournful expanse... a desolation... We never saw a human being on the whole route... Hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country... Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes... desolate and unlovely...
-- Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad, 1867
The restoration of the "desolate and unlovely" land began in the latter half of the Nineteenth Century with the first Jewish pioneers. Their labors created newer and better conditions and opportunities, which in turn attracted migrants from many parts of the Middle East, both Arabs and others. The Balfour Declaration of 1917, confirmed by the League of Nations Mandate, commited the British Government to the principle that "His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a Jewish National Home, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object... " It was specified both that this area be open to "close Jewish settlement" and that the rights of all inhabitants already in the country be preserved and protected.
Never asked if they would be fine with Jewish immigrants. America is a sovereign country, do we ask all the Americans if its fine for Hispanics to emigrate. Twain's account is poor, because Jews settled in Palestine way before the 1900's establishing farms with well economical gains. Communists know how to do that best. It if funny how it was communism that gave rise to Israel in the first place. Kibbutzim is basically communism within a community. Later, I find it hard to believe that the increases economical stance of the region did not attract nomadic fallacious to emigrate themselves. Before 1900, the ottoman empire said that there were no more than 100,000 arabs and most of them were considered to be syrian. They also don't know much about these records because there are just not many records of Palestina. It's also funny how russians used to scream at the Jews GO BACK TO PALESTINE in the 1950's. But now everybody is screaming get out of PALESTINE.
i wrote fellacious lol, I meant fellaheen.
But, does buying the land from absentee arab landlords hurt the nomadic fellahenn? Of course, is it the fault of the Jews? Maybe. But then again, it were arabs and ottoman officials who sold that land. There is nothing unfair about that here. The first Jewish settlers were communists, believe me they would throw nobody out of a land. The only capitalistic about them was the idea that they bought lands with large sums of money. Otherwise they felt everybody was equal (to a certain extent of course) because arabs wrote bad things about Jews in newspapers. Both because arabs never liked Jews and because Jews were better at irrigating and had a better economin upstanding within all communities. It is basic resentment. How does history get erased so quickly. I used to think tha Jew really did kick out the arabs until I recently started reading. Yes, some were kicked ou in the mid 1900's, but it was due to revenge from Arab attacks on Jewish villages.
4 times the size of cyprus? He toward only western palestine. Remember he was a big supporter of the Jews (after he read books on them). Therefore, he didn't need to tour all of palestine (which is modern day Jordan).

Resolved Question: Would you vote for these policies?
IMMIGRATION - time to say ENOUGH!
On current demographic trends, we, the native British people, will be an ethnic minority in our own country within sixty years.
To ensure that this does not happen, and that the British people retain their homeland and identity, we call for an immediate halt to all further immigration, the immediate deportation of criminal and illegal immigrants, and the introduction of a system of voluntary resettlement whereby those immigrants who are legally here will be afforded the opportunity to return to their lands of ethnic origin assisted by a generous financial incentives both for individuals and for the countries in question.
We will abolish the ?positive discrimination? schemes that have made white Britons second-class citizens. We will also clamp down on the flood of ?asylum seekers?, all of whom are either bogus or can find refuge much nearer their home countries.
EUROPE - back to British independence!
We are opposed to the Single European Currency, and support the overwhelming majority of the British people in their desire to keep the Pound and our traditional weights and measures. At the same time, we are for the best possible relationship with our European neighbours and believe that the nations of Europe should be free to trade and cooperate whenever it is mutually beneficial, though without being forced into a political and economic straitjacket - political unification. Accordingly, we stand for British withdrawal from the European Union. In place of the EU, we intend to aim towards greater national self-sufficiency, and to work to restore Britain?s family and trading ties with Australia, Canada and New Zealand, and to trade with the rest of the world as it suits us. Following our withdrawal from the EU, the BNP will use the £43 million per day net contribution Britain at present makes to the European Union to fund many far more useful projects at home.
LAW AND ORDER - crack down on crime!
The BNP will crack down on crime and restore public safety and confidence. We will free the police and courts from the politically correct straitjacket that is stopping them from doing their job properly. The liberal fixation with the ?rights? of criminals must be replaced by concern for the rights of victims, and the right of innocent people not to become victims. We support the re-introduction of corporal punishment for petty criminals and vandals, and the restoration of capital punishment for paedophiles, terrorists and murderers as an option for judges in cases where their guilt is proven beyond dispute, as by DNA evidence or being caught red-handed.
ECONOMY - British workers first!
Globalisation, with its export of jobs to the Third World, is bringing ruin and unemployment to British industries and the communities that depend on them. Accordingly, the BNP calls for the selective exclusion of foreign-made goods from British markets and the reduction of foreign imports. We will ensure that our manufactured goods are, wherever possible, produced in British factories, employing British workers. When this is done, unemployment in this country will be brought to an end, and secure, well-paid employment will flourish, at last getting our people back to work and ending the waste and injustice of having more than 4 million people in a hidden army of the unemployed concealed by Labour?s statistical fiddles. We further believe that British industry, commerce, land and other economic and natural assets belong in the final analysis to the British nation and people. To that end we will restore our economy and land to British ownership. We also call for preference in the job market to be given to native Britons. We will take active steps to break up the socially, economically and politically damaging monopolies now being established by the supermarket giants. Finally we will seek to give British workers a stake in the success and prosperity of the enterprises whose profits their labour creates by encouraging worker shareholder and co-operative schemes
EDUCATION - discipline, standards, achievement!
We are against the ?trendy? teaching methods that have made Britain one of the most poorly educated nations in Europe. We will end the practice of politically correct indoctrination in all its guises and we will restore discipline in the classroom, give authority back to teachers and put far greater emphasis on training young people in the industrial and technological skills necessary in the modern world. We will also seek to instill in our young people knowledge of and pride in the history, cultures and heritage of the native peoples of Britain.
AGRICULTURE - quality before quantity!
We see a strong, healthy agriculture sector as vital to the country. Britain?s farming industry will be encouraged to produce a much greater part of the nation?s need in food products. Priority will be switched from quantity to quality, as we move from competing in a global econom

Resolved Question: What is the real history of Palestine? When did God ever give Palestine to the Jews?
Brief timetable of the Palestinian history.
3'rd millennium BC :
The Canaanites were the earliest known inhabitants of Palestine. They became urbanized and lived in city-states, one of which was Jericho . They developed an alphabet. Palestine's location at the center of routes linking three continents made it the meeting place for religious and cultural influences from Egypt, Syria, Mesopotamia, and Asia Minor. It was also the natural battleground for the great powers of the region and subject to domination by adjacent empires, beginning with Egypt in the 3d millennium BC.
2'rd millennium BC :
Egyptian hegemony and Canaanite autonomy were constantly challenged by such ethnically diverse invaders as the Amorites, Hittites, and Hurrians. These invaders, however, were defeated by the Egyptians and absorbed by the Canaanites, who at that time may have numbered about 200000.
14th century BC :
Egyptian power began to weaken, new invaders appeared: the Hebrews, a group of Semitic tribes from Mesopotamia, and the Philistines (after whom the country was later named), an Aegean people of Indo-European stock.
1230 BC :
Joshua conquered parts of Palestine. The conquerors settled in the hill country, but they were unable to conquer all of Palestine.
1125 BC :
The Israelites, a confederation of Hebrew tribes, finally defeated the Canaanites but found the struggle with the Philistines more difficult . Philistines had established an independent state on the southern coast of Palestine and controlled the Canaanite town of Jerusalem.
1050 BC :
Philistines with there superior in military organization and using iron weapons, they severely defeated the Israelites about 1050 BC .
1000 BC :
David, Israel's great king, finally defeated the Philistines, and they eventually assimilated with the Canaanites . The unity of Israel and the feebleness of adjacent empires enabled David to establish a large independent state, with its capital at Jerusalem.
922 BC :
Under David's son and successor, Solomon, Israel enjoyed peace and prosperity , but at his death in 922 BC the kingdom was divided into Israel in the north and Judah in the south .
722-721 BC :
When nearby empires resumed their expansion, the divided Israelites could no longer maintain their independence . Israel fell to Assyria.
586 BC :
Judah was conquered by Babylonia, which destroyed Jerusalem and exiled most of the Jews living there. Nebuchadnezzar entered Jerusalem. The Temple was sacked and set fire to, and razed to the ground. The Royal Palace and all the great houses were destroyed, the population carried off in chains to Babylon. And they lamented on their long march into exile.
539 BC :
Cyrus the Great of Persia conquered Babylonia and he permitted the Jews to return to Judea, a district of Palestine. Under Persian rule the Jews were allowed considerable autonomy. They rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem and codified the Mosaic law, the Torah, which became the code of social life and religious observance. The Jews were bound to a universal God.
333 BC :
Persian domination of Palestine was replaced by Greek rule when Alexander the Great of Macedonia took the region. Alexander's successors, the Ptolemies of Egypt and the Seleucids of Syria , continued to rule the country . The Seleucids tried to impose Hellenistic (Greek) culture and religion on the population.
141-63 BC :
Jews revolted under the Maccabees and set up an independent state.
132-35 BC :
Jews revolts erupted, numerous Jews were killed, many were sold into slavery, and the rest were not allowed to visit Jerusalem. Judea was renamed Syria Palaistina.
63 BC :
Jerusalem was overrun by Rome. Herod was appointed King of Judea. He slaughtered the last of the Hasmoneans and ordered a lavish restoration and extension of the Second Temple. A period of great civil disorder followed with strife between pacifists and Zealots, and riots against the Roman authorities.
37-4 BC :
During the rule of King Herod the Great Jesus of Nazareth, peace be upon him was born. And years after, he began his teaching mission. His attempts to call people back to the pure teachings of Abraham and Moses were judged subversive by the authorities. He was tried and sentenced to death; "yet they did not slay him but only a likeness that was shown to them."
70 AD :
Titus of Rome laid siege to Jerusalem. The fiercely defended Temple eventually fell, and with it the whole city. Seeking a complete and enduring victory, Titus ordered the total destruction of the Herodian Temple. A new city named Aelia was built by the Romans on the ruins of Jerusalem, and a temple dedicated to Jupitor raised up.
313 AD :
Palestine received special attention when the Roman emperor Constantine I legalized Christianity. His mother, Helena, visited Jerusalem, and Palestine, as the Holy Land, became a focus of Christian pilgrimage. A gol

Resolved Question: Why did pagan religions seek oneness with their spiritual gods? And in Christianity, we seek restoration with?
an intimate God?
I recently read on YahooQ&A R&S That the Greek word ecstasy, was part of pagan religions... And was a supernatural, sensuous communion with a deity.
They used hypnotic chants & ceremonies & worshippers experiencing semiconscieous euphoric feelings of oneness with the god or goddess. Then there was fasting or drunkenness or drugs & other physical & psychological stimuli customarily used to induce the excstasy...
Some forms of Hindu Yoga, Buddhist into Nirvana (divine nothingness), Sexual exstasies in Bacchus idolatry. They're in the ruins of Baalbek (in Lebenon).
So? Is this seeking of the soul for spiritual oneness really because, we truly are seeking out of a need to be restored in relationship (reconciled) with God our Creator?
And that God our Creator made us this way? To seek God with all our our hearts & we will find?
But when we reject Gods love, then there are the gods & goddesses?
Frau Asser, You make me sad. You believed the condemnation & misconceptions to be the Lord God. I also didn't feel loved in my childhood Church. But I was loved. I was shy & felt the condemnation of the critical judgmental ones. This is a lying spirit who has broken up Churches & deceived Children & turned them away from the Lord our God. My Pastor just preached that condemnation never comes from God. Condemnation is really just from the devil. So, we accuse God & leave the Church. Then we turn away and accumulate other gods in our life. I did this. I forgot about Jesus for 10yrs, then I prayed, then I got stuck in a breakdown that led me to find a Church & me being desperate in front of that Church & be prayed for & be healed.
And yes. The Lord God isn't the condemner that we get fooled into believing God to be.
http://www.fathersloveletter.com
Heathen Princes, This is a question, not a critical judgement. If you are feeling condemnation, just realize it isn't from me or from my God. Also, The Holy Spirit doesn't condemn. The Holy Spirit does convict the world of the one sin of not believing in the Fathers Only Begotten Son & Gods Salvation plan. There is a difference.
I am not judging you critically. I am not a judge. I am just trying to learn where people are coming from.
BobZ, I think you are right. I want to bring out the 'good' extacy. Because worldly ecstacy isn't so good but corrupted or perverted being sin (all wrong doing is sin). But love maginfied, joy magnified, faith magnified, hope magnified, is ecstacy. And this also changes us & being changed in Gods Presence. Changing from glory to glory. Also perfects our whole being & purifies our hearts. And blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
