Open Question: Could someone review this synopsis section from the play "Goldilockpick and Miss Red Riding Hoodlum" ?
What is funny/not, what do you like/not, who is it appropriate for/why? Little Boy Blue then grabs two tarts and splatters one over the head of Goldilocks and one over the head of Little Red Riding Hood. Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and Little Boy Blue then get into an all out brawl, covering each other in tarts. The Knave of Hearts seizes this opportunity and grabs a remaining tarts, before heading to the door. Unfortunately for The Knave, The Queen of Hearts bursts in at this moment and catches him before he can leave. She takes the tarts from his hand, and as Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and Little Boy Blue look on, she shoves it in his face. The Queen then pushes The Knave into the other three thieves and the four fall to the floor like dominoes ? in a creamy mess. King Cole then enters with The Wolf, Mum Bear and Gran Hood ? they have all followed the Queen to see what was going on. The Queen of Hearts orders The Wolf to clean the thieves faces so that she can see who they are. The Wolf drags The Knave of Hearts, Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and Little Boy Blue forward, one by one, throws them to their knees and douses them with water from buckets nearby. The Queen and her guests then see the identities of the four thieves. Mum Bear asks what Goldilocks is doing there and Gran Hood asks Little Red what happened to her. Before they can answer, the Queen announces that they must have a trial for the four thieves. King Cole interrupts her, however, to insist on announce the prizes for the baking contest first. The Queen agrees, but tells him to hurry. King Cole announces that Gran Hood's gingerbread has one third -at which the old woman is affronted. He then announces that The Queen's tarts have won second place, at which the Queen is aghast. Finally, King Cole announce that Mum Bear's chocolate cake has won first prize. Mum Bear is thrilled. The Queen announces that, while she values King Cole's opinion, she believes that she is the real winner of the day. The reason for this is that the four young thieves ? Goldilocks, Little Red, The Knave and Boy Blue ? had all come to steal her famous tarts, and not Mum Bear's chocolate cake. She points out the enormous effort that they have gone to ? saying what a mess they are in and how Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood are in a state of undress. As the crowd laughs at them, Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood suddenly cringe in embarrassment and try to hide behind each other, realising that they are in front of everyone in nothing but their underwear. The Queen tells the four thieves that she will pardon them, but that she must find a way to stop their thieving. At this point, Puck and Mab enter to make a suggestion. They suggest that Goldilocks and Little Red Riding Hood will stop making trouble if they are married to the boys that they have found. The Queen thinks this is a good idea and asks who is marrying who. Little Red Riding hood announces that she wants to marry Little Boy Blue and Goldilocks says that she will marry The Knave of Hearts. The Queen is set on planning a wedding immediately and enlists Mum Bear and Gran Hood to help cater as the young couples declare their love for each other. Puck and Mab agree that their job is done and the Narrotors agree that the play has reached its happy ending. (more...)

Resolved Question: Just finished watching................?
today tonight about YOUNG single mothers, who WANT more MONEY. That's right want more tax payers money cause they think they can't survive from $1000 pf. One girl said it herself "Why should she work for the little extra money when she can receive FREE money for doing NOTHING". I'm a WORKING single mum, so like the rest of the WORKING people out there, our TAXES, pays for these young mums to sit there DEMANDING more from us. One girl made a statement on today tonight that with the extra money she will receive would like to go on a holiday. They also think they are misunderstood. I have to plan like many other tax payers out there for when I want a holiday, buy a home, new car, brand new wardrobe, etc I pick up the extra shifts at work when available to cater for all these, when they just demand the extra in there hand, and then tell us that they deserve the extra money. They need to go on CONTRACEPTION, get an EDUCATION (god knows half those girls on there need it) go out and get a JOB. My god yes a JOB. How many of you out there feel just as pissed off as I do about these young mothers having babies just for the money. Congratulations to those young mums who continue their education and want to join the workforce. (more...)

Resolved Question: Are Mums Too Country for a Formal Wedding?
My wedding is going to be semi-formal, in the evening and held at a full-catered reception facility. I want to keep the event semi-formal and elegant. I was thinking mums would be an affordable centerpiece for the tables. What do people think? Is it too country for a semi-formal wedding? Any links to cute looking fall centerpieces? Any with mums? I forgot to say the wedding will be in the Fall, either October or November. I forgot to say the wedding will be in the Fall, either October or November. (more...)

Resolved Question: Would you be interested in the following 5-course meal?
I'm having a swanky dinner party for my 21st. Mum and I have pretty much decided on what to serve, but I want to know whether our draft menu is of interest to folks... there are vegetarians, too, so we've also had to cater for them. 1) Gazpacho or Vichyssoise 2) Field Mushroom w. greens 3) Scallop dish; vegos: risotto dish (yet to be narrowed down) 4) Venison w. blueberry sauce & a side of baked potatoes; vegos: cheese-based tart w. caramelised onion & a side of asparagus 5) The pièce de résistance: Croque en Bouche =D Thankfully, my Mum and her friend are super cooks & my aunty is an ex-patisserie chef, so it's all doable for them. Any comments or suggestions re. improvements would be appreciated. Thanks! A Croque en Bouche is a classic French-style celebration cake. It's a pyramid of creme patissiere filled profiteroles dipped in caramelised sugar, which, when set, gives the cake its name, 'crunch in the mouth'. lovethedog, if you type Croque en Bouche into a search engine for images, you'll get a better idea. =) For those unsure: we're having five courses. It's not a la carte; everyone will be having five different set dishes, and in particular courses, the vegetarians will be served separate dishes (as displayed). (more...)

Resolved Question: Do your family friends etc tell you your baby is "becoming spoilt"......?
then cater to their EVERY whim???? My mother, MIL and 2 SIL are constantly telling me my 11 month old is becoming spoilt (because when you take things away from her that you dont want her to play with she cries), THEN every time she cries THEy pick her up tell her "ohhhh bubba whats wrong, here give me a cuddle" and such. They also wrap her in cotton wool eg: she is starting to walk and wants to be left to go and of course she has her falls gets bumps and bruises, which in my opinion is just normal, but my mum especially is constantly walking behind her and saying to me "she is going to fall"....well OF COURSE she is she is a kid....i have said to all three of them that THEY spoil her and they laugh at me and say no we dont YOU do...even my dad says she is spoilt because i only have one and spend to much one on one time with her, im sorry but i see nothing wrong with spending time with my child?????? Anyone else have these sorts of problems??? (more...)

Voting Question: i am 38 wks pregnant with a stepdaughter from hell..what should i do?
hi, i am 38 wks pregnant and have a stepdaughter from hell, met my hubby 6 years ago, child was 6 now 12, for 2 years everything was fine, then she started being funny (would'nt eat anything i put in front of her calling me names, always back chatting etc even with her dad and family) i just thought she would get over it, this went on for 1 year and she calmed down, when she was 10 it started again with her throwing trantrums like a 3 yr old screaming and sobbing if she can't get her own her and it has never stopped since, now she is saying horrible things like the child your carrying is not my dads and she will hate it, (it could be jealously but she has no reason to be jealous as her dad caters for her every whim) it has now got to the point where i feel like breaking down and severing all ties with her and my hubby and going it alone as i don't want my baby to be affected by her, i have tried talking to hubby but it always ends in an argument where i am i the wrong as i don't make her meals that she likes (spaghetti on toast etc) as i like to sit down to proper meals with veg etc..he even said that i should just make it for her, but i have said that i am not making 2 different dinners every night just for her, by the way is she overweight for her age and yes she does live with us and sees her mum at weekends (she choose to live with us) I do have friends/family etc to talk to but i think they are fedup of hearing about now and even told me before i got pregnant to get out, (hubby is not violent in any way and works full time so he is a good provider, i finished work 2 wks ago to rest for my new arrival) Any advice woiuld be grateful, we have tried everything possible, ie nice holidays, walks, pictures etc, i even tried taking her to the salon getting her nails and hair done everything etc people are saying maybe she is jeulous of the baby but i have not been pregnant since she started being like this, i did forget to mention that i have a teenage son who has never treated me like this and even he is getting to the point where he wants to slap her, i also made her pasty and chips the other night (junk that she likes) and she threw it in the bin and said it was disgusting and throw a tantrum then went to get some ice-cream out of the freezer which i stopped her and then caused another agurment, she has been with us when buying things for the baby and has had things bought for her at the same time (just so she did'nt feel left out) which is something i have'nt done for my own son as he just wants the baby here so he can spoil it, my son gets on with hubby perfect, a few quibbles every now and again but nothing major (more...)

Resolved Question: What makes family members "walk on egg shells" and cater for over emotional family members. ?
I don't know if anyone will understand this question, but i'm hoping. My brother is SOO over emotional and to be honest at times - down right rude. He is moody, sulky and extremely childish. Breaks things when "life" isn't going his way. (He lives out of home, and so do i, I hardly see him but even when the family hasn't seen each other in a while, he still chucks tantrums if something goes wrong) In the past few months, I've stopped catering for his emotional problems and if he has been rude I will say something - which is usually ignored anyway. Why do we feel the need to walk on egg shells around people like this and let them get away with it? I just wish my mum would tell him to grow up and snap out of his "the world revolves around me" theory. Have you experienced anything like this? (more...)
