Open Question: If I go to cuba will I get into the US or vice versa?
I have a New Zealand passport. I recently wrote a paper for a academic conference in May in Santiago de Cuba on Integrated Coastal Management.
The problem is that I also want to start my PhD soon at UC Berkeley. I have to fly Auckland>LAX>Mexico City>Havana and same way back.However I wanted to check out Berkeley on a stop over.
What I am really asking is this:
If on the way there I stop in the US will I be able to enter Cuba?
If on the way back I stop in the US, will the US let me in because I've been to Cuba?

Open Question: Where would be the best place to apply for an interior design related job in san antonio, tx?
I am moving to SA in two months, and i am going to school to get my BS in interior design. I am willing to try for almost any job ( i will probably try to get 2 actually), but i would prefer to at least try to work with an interior designer. Does anyone know of a good place to apply or send my resume. I have some freelance experience, but I am young (20) and do not yet have my degree!
Also if anyone happens to need to hire someone in the near future, I have a little experience with almost everything, and i learn very quickly. If anyone has any advice PLEASE let me know.
Also, my boyfriend/fiance is going to be moving with me as well.for the last couple of years he has been working and managing at a full service car wash. He is also 20, and trying to save up money for college. He also does some side jobs, in remodeling/constructionon, yard work, general maintenance. Does anyone know a good place he could apply? He does have management experiencece, so it does not necessarily mean a car wash job. If anybody has an opening they need filled for either of us let me know!

Right ive download this game before and then i stop playing for a while and delete it and then tried to download again and wen i tried to log into my account it said something like
Restart and when i press restart it do anuva download for like 2 hours and its really pissing me off and everytime i tried to log in it wouldnt let me ?? please Help me im stress out so much and im about to blast my head off
and also i just download the Burnign crusade trail ? and the next day i didnt know i had a chance to go buy the pre paid card so when i came back put my code in and went to my main home page of account management and it said ." PENDING " how do i make tht active ?

Open Question: Landlord wont fix roof and blames Condo Management?
I rent a condo in NJ and my roof has been leaking since September. It has made the apartment some what uninhabitable and ruined my personal property. I notified my Landlord on 9/10/08 about the leak. Since then the condo association sent a maintnence man ( not a roofer) to look and try to fix the problem. Of course he never fixed it and the leak got worse. I notified the landlord at least 6 times and nothing was ever done. On 12/21/08 I sent a certified letter stating that I would cease rent payment until it was fixed and that I would be putting in a claim for a rent abatement on all rents paid from date of notification (less the ample time alloted for him to fix it ).
On 12/24/08 Landlord left me a voice message that he got my letter and acknowledge the leak problem since september. He then said that it was not his problem because the management company wont let him on the roof and my beef was with them. As of today 1/7/09 the roof is still leaking. I have not paid rent and dont intend to until it is fixed.
Honestly if he was living in the apartment , he would have made sure it was fixed a long time ago. ( I had a similiar problem when I first moved in, the AC wasnt working, it took him 2 months to fix and that was not a management issue. Plus I had to carry the ac unit up and down stairs). In a court of law does his claim of the Condo Management being responsible , hold any water ( no punn intended). There is nothing in the lease about condo being responsible and as far as I am concerned he has responsibility to me as a tenant. If Condo Managment prevents that responsibility then thats his problem. Any answers or further advise would be greatly appreciated

Open Question: Why can't I partition more in vista?
Hey, I tried doing some research on this subject. Tried doing a couple things such as disk defrag, clean up, etc... Yet vista's disk managements utility won't let me partion more than 6.7gb. My hdd is 80gb with vista using roughly 30gb and I have about 50gb free space. All I want to do is clear up at least 10gb. Why can't I?

Open Question: Hollywood Video Dilemma & I Need Some Help?
Alright, I rented a few movie at Hollywood Video. After viewing it, I let my sister borrow it so she can see it. She said she would return it, and she returned it early. Problem is, she returned it to Blockbuster by mistake, since we rarely ever go to Hollywood Video for movies.
So we call, and they said Blockbuster needs an employee from Hollywood Video to pick it up. We call Hollywood Video, and they said the manager was going to go to Blockbuster to pick it up and it wouldn't be a problem.
The next day we call to confirm if they got it from Blockbuster. They said they didn't, but a manager was going to do it. Same thing happens a second time, and they said they still didn't get it. So then we get a call saying the movie is late etc. We call them telling them that the manager was going to get it.
They tell us that we have given them a "different story" each time, and we have to pay for the movie and late fees...WTF. They're the ones delaying, delaying, delaying!
My sister said she'll pay no problem, but she's calling higher level management to oversee the situation. Should she have to pay just because they don't go over there to get it?

Open Question: Kings Fans Are You Mad @ the Maloofs For Ruining Our Once Proud Franchise?
I mean first of all trading Peja Stojakovic for Ron Artest was a good trade for the Kings and even the Pacers @ the time. If they would have remained on the teams Kings would have had the better deal.
Trading Turkoglu and G. Force was utter stupidity, like the old saying goes look @ them now.
In more recent years you trade Ron Artest for a guy you drove out in the first place and is practically damaged goods no more 6th man of the year capability in B. Jax and Greene is alright,but is no Ron Ron. A side question who misses Ron Ron?
Furthermore, how do we trade Bibby our best playoff performer since Tiny Nate Archbold and Big O? Especially, when we got Beno Udrih for practically nothing. Did you see how good they were playing together if kept they could have been TJ Ford/ Mo Williams or Jose Calderon/TJ Ford.
Lastly, we got crap for Bibby and we better not trade Brad Miller he is a valuable player. I would only consider trading him for a Luol Deng or someone like that.
Also, Mikki Moore is a huge mistake he gets overpaid and does not let his actions speak for his words. I mean how do you call out ypur teammates motivation when you yourself do not dive for loose balls. Don't get me wrong I love the young guys we are a young team and in rebuilding mode, but you can be a winning team in rebuilding mode as well thats what we were with Bonzi Wells. In fact bring him back and take out Mikki Moore. How dare he call out his team full of young guys that would damage a young player's psyche and they are all better than him.
This could have been our team now if we did not have fucked up management.

Open Question: How to keep a mother from being "over nurturing"?
This is really starting to worry me b/c, for training, a gave my g/f a foster pet dog and not even a kid. And yet she does things like avoids cuddling with me to cuddle with the dog, pushes me nearly off the bed to make room for the dog, lets the dog kiss her (literally lick her lips) for hours while refusing to study. And now it seems the dog barks and begs more, tugs the other way when I walk him, tries to bite me and my friends when he never used to just for trying to pet him. In fact the only person he "respects" is his mother, despite that I feed him, walk him, help bathe him (IE we both take care of the dog).
Now, back to the goal...if this is the tragedy which occurs when we are taking care a simply dog...it freaks me out to think what will happen when we have a baby. Call me idealistic; but I am a firm believer in the idea that while nurturing a kid is good, over-nurturing produces a spoil brat unappreciative of the learning process (and thus very hard to train or improve in the long-run).
Meanwhile, my g/f has began talking to my mother about my "anger fits"...doing things like shouting "no!" when the dog gets on my side of the bed and won't let me on my own bed after asking and prompting him more softly "no...please get off the bed" about 3-times.
I still think, in such extreme cases, I deserve to yell at the dog...though I admit in the case of a kid I would more likely simply refuse to help the kid with anything those next 2 days (IE no driving them anywhere, no making them dinner (they'd eat pre-made food), no helping them with advice about peers...) and would only yell if the kid were about to, say, get hit by the car.
I have always thought having the mother and father enjoy each other is better for the kids than having each one show affection to the kid only when the other "bad" person is gone...perhaps I am missing something?

So I want an opinion that is neutral to both sides:
What can/should I do differently to make parenthood more of a collaborate effort...and what actions should I do/how far should I go to prevent my kid from becoming a spoiled douche-bag? And...how much/many of my punishment ideals are realistic...or do I really need more "anger management"?

Open Question: Can I use Cat 5e UTP cable to wire a home alarm system?
I'm prewiring my home. Aside from using Cat 5e for voice & data, can it be used to connect various alarm devices such as magnetic contacts, PIR sensors, low voltage siren & strobe, keypad, to the main control panel? If I'm not mistaken, magetic contacts use #22 AWG pair of white wires. Longest run is around 25 meters.
What's the range of "low voltage" you can transmit using UTP, let us say 30 meters max? I wish to use it also to power 9v smoke alarms and DC-powered security cameras. The intent is to have centralized management of various systems and provide UPS backup to power.

Open Question: I'm Literally Beating Myself?
Well first off, I'm a really peaceful person that has never gotten in a fight. I don't have any enemies in school. I'm really friendly to everyone. I have a large sense of humor. I laugh at almost anything lol. And theres only 1 thing in the world that makes me mad. Nothing else. You cannot make me angry.
Video Games are what make me angry. Especially Halo 3.
Alright, this is probably the last thing you'd expect from me. Halo 3 pisses me off soooo bad. Pretty much anytime I die I just go crazy cursing wildly at the T.V., wishing and praying to god that that player burns in hell or gets raped and murdered. Or I'll just cuss God out for letting it happen.
But thats not even what I'm worried about.
Most times when I die in Halo I start wildly beating myself. Right now, I've got bruised knuckles and both of my thighs are nearly purple. I just flail on my legs, or I punch the wall 5 times, or bash my face against the wall. Most times I just punch my legs until I want to cry.
Its RIDICULOUS how mad games make me.
I REALLY need help. I can't tell my parents cause they'll just think I'm crazy. And we're kinda broke now so we definitely can't afford Anger Management. But is there any way to not get mad?
Does anyone have any tips on staying calm?
