The Final Solution V. 1 - The Seeds of Hatred (1918-1939)

This well-produced British documentary, one of four videos that make up
The Final Solution set, begins by tracing the roots of Nazism in Germany's humiliating defeat in World War I. The ravaged society of postwar Germany, saddled with severe economic problems and vicious political infighting, was a fertile breeding ground for a small political party that few took seriously. Early Nazi publications show racist caricatures of the Jews as wily enemies of the German people. The hatred promulgated by Hitler and his followers began to be taken seriously as Germany suffered during the Great Depression, and before long Nazi racial theories were being published in schoolbooks. Well-chosen archival films document the rise of the SS, a small group of Hitler's personal bodyguards, which grew to include thousands of highly trained and fanatical racists. The SS leader, Heinrich Himmler, is seen promoting his racial theories in visits to German children and at athletic events staged by the SS, and the gradual implementation of Nazi doctrine into German law is documented. Throughout the film participants, including former SS officers, are interviewed, and a fairly comprehensive view of the earliest years of the Nazi Reich emerges. This is a solid introduction to the horrors of Nazism.

Jagdgeschwader 7 "Nowotny" (Aviation Elite Units)
When the revolutionary Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter first appeared in the skies over northwest Europe in mid-1944, it represented the greatest challenge to Allied air superiority since the Battle of Britain. The first group to solely fly jet fighters, Jagdgeschwader 7 was formed out of the test unit Kommando Nowotny, and was tasked with taking back command of the skies. Put almost immediately into action, despite fuel shortages, poor training and problems with the jet engine, victories quickly followed against both US and British aircraft, including at least one Mosquito.
By the end of the war, the Jagdgeschwader had claimed nearly 200 enemy aircraft destroyed in daylight bomber raids during 1945. Fighter aces and those who became jet aces with JG 7 included Heinrich Ehrler (201 victories), Ernst-Wilhelm Reinert (174 victories) and Hans Waldmann (132 victories). This book follows the history of the revolutionary JG 7 unit, examining how their courage, determination and the most advanced aircraft in the world were simply not enough to ensure victory. In the final section of the book Robert Forsyth details how JG 7 eventually became ground down by losses, restricted operating conditions, lack of fuel and overwhelming Allied fighter strength, culminating in final surrender in May 1945, but not without scoring some of the final aerial victories of World War 2.

Please observe how over time the tax rates have declined...this cannot be denied
Also observe how overtime the percentage of total tax revenue that is paid by corporations as a percentage of total tax revenues has gone from 25% to 5% and how it has shrunk also as a percentage of GDP
Lastly observe how the budget deficits have grown during the same time span and how if you plotted this out on a graph, you would find a direct corelation between lower taxes, lower taxes "actually paid" by corporations and huge mindboggling deficits.
Now....lets factor in other factors such as higher health care costs of today compared to earlier decades, more businesses from overseas comining into our own market and competing with our businesses. Our own businesses laying off workers here to go open factories elsewhere only to bring goods back in USA duty free to sell. 20 million illegals here taking jobs and depressing wages. People like Bill Gates fighting as we speak for more HB1 visas to allow even cheaper labor into the country. etc.....

Resolved Question: how come they can advertise no smoking products?
there's now the right to put images on tobacco products to discourage smoking, and that's fair enough. But why don't they show how stressful stopping smoking and dangerous to those around you is on quitting products, for example a picture of some one killing their partner or innocent passer by. In 1918 Hitler stopped smoking and in 1939 he invaded poland is quiting worth it.

POISON GAS
The use of poison gas in World War One was fearful. Poison gas had been used in World War One and many expected that it would be used in World War Two. The gases used in World War One were crude but effective. In fact, technically many of them were not gases but minute solid particles suspended in air like the spray from an aerosol can. Regardless of whether they were a true gas or not, they brought very great fear. By 1939, these gases had been refined and had the potential for being far more effective just as fighter planes had markedly changed between 1918 and 1939, so it was believed was a military?s ability to deliver poison gas and create new and more deadly versions. The gases used to such effect in World War One were still potential weapons in World War Two. German army was the first to use poison gas but it was in fact initially deployed by the French. The use of poison gas in World War I was a major military innovation. Poison gas was probably the most feared of all weapons in World War One. Poison gas was indiscriminate and could be used on the trenches even when no attack was going on. A poison gas attack meant soldiers having to put on crude gas masks and if these were unsuccessful, an attack could leave a victim in agony for days and weeks before he finally succumbed to his injuries. However, while the French were the first to use a gas against an enemy, the Germans had been giving a great deal of thought to the use of poison gas as a way of inflicting a major defeat on an enemy. In other words, poison gas was the answer for the war's lack of mobility. However, the risk of the wind blowing gas back onto you also affected the Germans and French in some of their gas attacks during late 1915. By the time the war ended, the main user of poison gas was Germany, followed by France and then Britain. Though poison gas was a terrifying weapon, its actual impact, rather like the tank, is open to debate. However, these figures do not take into account the number of men who died from poison gas related injuries years after the end of the war; nor do they take into account the number of men who survived but were so badly incapacitated by poison gas that they could hold down no job once they had been released by the army. Armies quickly produced gas masks that gave protection as long as sufficient warning was given a gas attack.
