Open Question: Why do African-Americans destroy other ethnic groups?
an african american is someone whose ancestors were enslaved in this country. So why is it that other groups of black people get swallowed up by this label that is meant for blacks that picked cotton and were enslaved here Barack obama's ancestors on his dad's side were not enslaved here and did not pick cotton but he is still counted as one of them, Colin powell is jamaican, but he is counted as AA. WEB dubois was half haitian, Marcus garvey was jamaican and malcom X was grenadan how do other blacks feel about having their ethnicities shoved aside and they being assigned an african american(cotton picker) label I know for a fact that no one will ever call me an anglo-american cuz First of all look at my name, obviously im of French heritage thank god, with no anglo admixture at all. 100% gaullic French and proud. But really, how do you all feel? This goes to other whites too, do you hate being lumped in with another ethnic group like alot of people i know think all UK ppl are anglo-saxons when they can be welsh and scottish as well (more...)

Open Question: how do you pronounce Rozalija?
i'm thinking that you would pronounce it Rosalia. am i right? i really love the name because it's Lithuanian and i'm Lithuanian and i just love that country anyway b/c it's so beautiful. the reason why i'm asking is b/c i might be getting a rottie and i wanted to name her a name from my heritage, and evrybody in my family always goes for the irish and scottish names(yeah i know i'm a strange mix of irish, scottish, and lithuanian, but i love it) so i wanted to be different. just let me know if i'm pronouncing it correctly, thanks btw if anybody was wondering, i grew up with rotties and i love them. they really are great dogs, especially the females which have that really stong maternal instinct. but they are great family dogs, i never had a problem with any of my rotties and i had mostly males. i've had other dogs but none of them compared to the rotties i had. and how would i spell it, if i wanted to pronounce it Rosalie? would it be spelled Rozalije?? Resolved Question: Where Should I move? in the US or anywhere.?
us: 2 kids, 2 adults, 2 dogs weather: we'd like something that is mild, with some snow in winter, but not like several feets worth in a day like you get around the great lakes and colorado. more like a couple inches every once in a while and an occasional 2-3 feet. summers cannot exceed 85 degrees, unles its like a heat wave, but the average high should be like 65-85 for summer months. we would like 4 seasons, even if the winter is mild. leaves changing isn't necessary. (coniferous forests would do.) smaller town, 5,000-25,000 people we would like a house that costs under $650,000 where we can have 4-6 bedrooms, 3-5 bathrooms, with 2-10 acres on it. places it can't be: Florida, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas,Colorado, Montana, south america. oh ya by the way, it doesn't have to be in the United States. I am open to other countries that are safe, like around vancouver, canada. also in North Island, New Zealand, or Southern Sweden, Denmark, and around Bergen, Norway. am very open to places all over western europe that don't recieve extreme snowfall, like in the scottish highlands or the Austrian Alps. thanks for helping. also language is not an issue. prefer low crime, and high quality of living, with good air quality,( not like los angeles, miami, pittsburgh, new york, detroit or philadelphia) thanks! what would you think if I told you me or him were just around for 440 years would you wonder where who were the ancestors 450 years ago. my buddy and I would talk. we were drinking buddies. - I had a friend who insisted he was pure blooded Scottish. he was aryan nations. white supremist neo nazi. --- as a binge drinking alcoholic I have associated with all types. I used to talk about this with him and joke about some of this stuff with him. I used to say things like if he is truly pure blood then his ancestors must have been pretty ugly. maybe some of his ancestors were so ugly the only way dogs would play with them would be if there mother tied a pork chop around their necks. when you say you are absolutely poor blood do you know about hill billies and sects and clans like ducabors and Mennonites and huterites and others found when interbreeding occurs. free country believe what you want but I don't believe your geneology---and what about 440 years. all human history and then ??? -- with exceptions of Japanese, chinese and koreans and people like them I would think most other people on checking their family lines would find they " are not pure blood" I think in the history of the world there was alot of hanky panky especially when you have invasions and war and the accompanying rape that comes with war. - I don't believe my ol buddy was pure blooded scottish.
