Resolved Question: Fix it ticket on Trailer when in California?
I got a fix ticket recently in California from CHP right at the border of Arizona. I got a fix it ticket for light being out on trailer license plate. I got to Texas and found out the whole fixture was bad on trailer. So I bought a new one and Fixed it. It works now. I stopped in Tennesee at an Inspection station. Officer said he is not allowed to sign off on the ticket and he said I probably won't get anyone on the east coast to sign off on it. I will most likely drop this trailer and get a new one going back West. So what can I do? I thought about taking a digital photo of the license plate with the light on and then submitting the photo with my ticket. Will that work? any advice? (more...)

Resolved Question: Seatbelt Violation: Should wearing seatbelts be a personal decision?
Okay I understand it is the law but fining people $200.00 for not wearing seatbelts and failure to change address is ridiculous. My boyfriend was leaving the store and he was just about to put his seatbelt on when the CHP decided to be seriously ridiculous and pull us over.....we were driving through East Oakland (big mistake on our part) and stopped at a store for cigarettes as my boyfriend pulled from the curve he had his hand on the seatbelt just about to put it on. Instead of harrassing people over seatbelts they should be citing people for running redlights, speeding, reckless driving moreso than a seatbelt...I see it all the time people running red lights right in front the CHP without getting pulled over. My opinon: Wearing a seatbelt is a personal decision. think about it. You'd think with all this gun violence, prostitution, drug trafficking in the bay area, they'd take a seatbelt into consideration. What do you think? Is the system being too greedy? truth comes from clash of ideas if it goes peaceful debate. I like democracy and I appreciate Americans for peaceful debate that shows your political culture. Nevertheless, in Turkey, debate is so harshly. so, we cannot find real solution for our problems because of this. when right political party comes to power (like AK Party government) forces its ideology to state bulding, national bulding and also when left political party ( like CHP) comes to power forces its ideology. the most important problem is that both sides have polirized their supporter that caused many chaos in Turkey. With inflation and taxes down, and with continuing prosperity expected, what's to complain about? As it turns out, quite a lot. Grumbling, partisan sniping, and even large public demonstrations have become the order of day ever since Turkey's Supreme Court?nudged by threats of a military coup and a large pro-secularist rally in Istanbul?annulled a parliamentary vote that made the candidate from the religiously tinged Justice and Development Party (AKP) the likely successor to the presidency. Events surrounding the court's May 1 decision have brought to a head tensions that some analysts say had been building for at least a year?tensions that are bound up with modern Turkey's perennial debate over religion, democracy, and secularism.
